The article frames the Palestinians (particularly children) as victims and Israel as the aggressor.
I would have the same issue if the article laid the blame at the feet of Hamas citing decades of aggression against the Israelis.
I believe war is hell, and the truth is the first casualty. Until, and only if, both sides stop this... it is still going to continue.
And as long as we point to one side as the bad guys it's never going to stop.
I don’t think we need to take sides to say that thousands of children who had legs amputated without sedation are probably innocent victims. I don’t take sides in a conflict between Hamas and the Israeli government. I take sides of innocent citizens of any nation murdered by thugs (often thinking they’re doing something righteous). Thus far Israel has killed ~15-20x more innocents, so if I was forced to label the aggressor by the group perpetuating the most injustice, I’d say Israel.
But I agree that the solution is peace now, not counting bodies and waiting until there is equal death or domination.
