Apple devices and AppStore is a bubble and echo chamber ! Using GrapheneOS over an hour and it’s amazing as fuck! So many functionalities opens up. Still noob
 Genesis 2:17
The weird thing for me is I switched to apple around 2007 as was improvement. Went back for computer to windows and the mix with Linux as obviously superior from around 2014 when apple becameshitt but never changed the phone for some reason. Shows the stickiness of certain environments over others
What are your top 5 favorite features you didn’t have before?
Just got my first non apple device yesterday and started playing with it too! I feel like I wimped out too fast and installed the sandboxed Google Play deal to get apps easily, but it's been fun playing for sure.
Yegor, did you ever use Google and Android apps previously? I'm also curious about the graphene experience but concerned I might miss out on some of what have become (at least to me) essential apps.
Apparently you can still download anything you want to add back. I installed back to Google camera since I mainly have been wanting a Google 8 pro for the camera quality being that my last pixel was 6 years old.
First you discover F-Droid and Aurora, and then you discover Obtanium and install everything directly from github!
 I second this message.

Go to https://f-droid.org/

...to download the f-droid apk manually.
Install that.
Then while f-droid has SOME FOSS apps you might use (like organic maps), definitely use it to get the Aurora Store and Obtainium.

Aurora Store will get you normie app store things like Fountain.fm (free sats for listening to podcasts). After you get used to Obtainium, it will be your go to. Can retrieve app apk's and manage updates (at your discretion) from F-droid and/or Github etc.

 Which Pixel did you get?
Is there anyway to get an anonymous SIM card for graphineos?
