Ok, I’ve thought about it.
Other than storing so you don’t lose it, I’m not seeing any advantages.
Using nostr via apps your nsec is stored locally on the device or your key in this case. Delete the app and you delete the nsec.
Using nostr via web you really should be using a signing device / browser extension like alby. Because now potentially your nsec is exposed off device. Your nsec is not a password that you can just change later if it becomes compromised. Be like using it to store your bitcoin key phrase and then you use it to sign into hot wallets.
That being said I see that it also handles PGP keys so maybe there is a work around in the software. 🤷🏼♂️ I don’t have one.
