The league merged with the Professional Women's Hockey Players Association and acquired the intellectual property of the Premier Hockey Federation (formerly NWHL). With an estimated $335 billion in assets under management, Guggenheim Partners, Walter's investment firm, has a significant stake in the sports industry. His entrepreneurial ventures include buying the Los Angeles Sparks WNBA team and purchasing Philip Anschutz's 27% stake in the Los Angeles Lakers.
