you've said more than once that you tend to make things more complicated than necessary, but now I look it wasn't even your note! ;-)
I try to keep most things as simple as possible. The issue becomes when I want to add in just enough complexity to do what I think a system should do. This usually comes from bull-headed ignorance and I pick things with steeo learning curves. But yes, in this case, it wasn't my note to begin with. 😅
