@8b82e89b most home growers I know hand-pollinate their flowers. On commercial farms, they hang bits of roadkill or dead fish from branches to attract flies.
I will have tons of seeds so if your friends /neighbors want some, it would save me if I could send all of them to one address. The pawpaw seeds will be partially cold stratified and come in moist spaghnum. Just put the bag back in the fridge and plant in spring and protected from squirrels.
@adfbf87b That's fascinating. Sure, I'd be happy to distribute some seeds to friends and neighbors in this area. I gave away some chestnut seedlings this year, and I can finish the stratification of the pawpaw seeds here - no problem.
@8b82e89b let me know how many and if you/they might other varieties. There is plenty of time. I hope to send all the seeds out first week of November. I will have four varieties of seeds to share: Asimina triloba, Diospyros virginiana, Boehmeria cylindrica and Physalis grisea.
