ok, done. I created this console client: https://github.com/vishalxl/nostr_console/ didn't have time to implement npub keys, so you will have to use old style hex keys. Check it out, for latest builds see Actions tab ;)
HOLY MOLY !!! This is awesome!!!! I haven't even tried it yet (4:30am just woke up) - but this is SO COOL. I actually used something called Nostr-Console I think a while back to pull my nostr feed but over bash. I don't think it had nothing like the features which you are making though! How do you feel about a BBS-Style NOSTR client that works entirely over telnet. ANSI/ASCII only. More emphasis on text and with oldschool navigation methods akin to being on a bootdisk in the 80s. We could use it as a way to maybe on board the HARDCORE art scene of the Computer Underground. Folks like <ACiD> and <iCE>. That shit would make me cream my dacks! Maybe a telnet solution for Nostr would also be 100x more efficient and easier for those in less developed nations to read their news and topics of interest without data fee incursions over the moon. @`Derek Ross @`fiatjaf` @`jb55` @`ava` #GrowNostr #Nostr #NostrDevs #CyberSec
its one of first Nostr clients, and I am trying to still improve it. do let me know feedback once you try it. Its Github will have info on how to run it etc.
I'm pretty sure I tried a nostr-console that was CLI a while back but just the idea of a terminal based NOSTR client that actually operates like a BBS... might be cool 😄
This was me in December 2022…good times! https://image.nostr.build/af16755ffccd6a1433ee7f5c791e251cb8b2bd7d298eb191a39faab392caca2a.png
That is so damn sexy 😂😂😂 Imagine if there were crazy good ANSI + ASCII Art adorning it too 🥰 https://m.primal.net/HmAC.png Shameless copy pasta from FB. " Sixteen Colors ANSI Art and ASCII Art Archive 29 February 2016 · ANSI of the Day! I think it's highly likely I've featured this before.. but not yet this year. The 16C site is down at the moment, so a little rehashing can be forgiven (I hope). This, my friends, is ACiD Trip. It's an insanely long ANSI. I'm going to be a lazy bastard and copy and paste some details: First place winner of the ANSI/ASCII compo at Demosplash 2013, held at Carnegie Mellon University, October 4-5, 2013. This ANSI was created by 23(*) artists from 6 different countries. At 3,266 lines long, this is far and away the longest ANSI scroller ever created. Australia + Brazil + Canada + Finland + Sweden + USA Music by Kristian "Piano Man" Ducharme This ANSI was created using a collaborative ANSI editing tool called PabloDraw. It's essentially a chatroom plus a 10,000-line ANSI canvas that anyone can edit. I just noticed that the cobbled together image I'm posting is an unfinished version. You really get the best viewing experience with this by watching the video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocgbtUR28UA There may never be a finer, weirder ANSI than this. Truly an amazing thing to have been a part of. Enjoy! Misfit <ACiD/b7> "
