FPIs return as net buyers in May as they infuse Rs 1,156 crore

Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) have become net buyers in May after being net sellers last month. They bought equities worth Rs 1,156 crore up until May 3, according to the National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) data. FPIs had offloaded equities worth Rs 8,671 crore in April due to the ongoing geopolitical crisis in the Middle East. The positive outlook for the Indian economy, including robust GDP growth projections and political stability, has contributed to FPIs' return as buyers.
