Voting only serves to legitimize the system and be complicit in its actions.
Many do not understand the power of not voting. What if only 1% voted in a democracy? You would delegitimize the system. In the worst case scenario, what the 1% voted for is taken as valid, uncovering the farce of modern democracy. I read up on this once (US). If the voter turn out is too low then the existing "representatives" in Washington get to pick the new President. Not sure which would be worse.
