@58db300d I donʼt disagree on your second point. Finlayson was one of the finest Treaty Settlements Ministers we ever had. Anyway, it seems my first contention was wrong. I guess you canʼt believe everything you read on Mastodon. I thought I had left that behind on OnlyKlans. https://www.nzherald.co.nz/kahu/election-2023-top-leader-raf-manji-on-maori-issues-and-why-treaty-referendum-doesnt-make-sense/V37Q5OIONFH6LBQOPEWIMSETYA/
@79067dd7 > I guess you canʼt believe everything you read on Mastodon. I thought I had left that behind on OnlyKlans Someone said it on the Internet, it must be true! : P It wouldn't surprise me if every social media platform kiwis use is being haunted by shills, paid by the same people funding the NatACTs' campaign. For exactly that reason, I didn't believe TOP had made overtures to the Nats until I saw it reported in multiple news media.
@58db300d It was from a normally trustworthy, left-leaning account here, but I guess lefties can either get it wrong or deceive. Strangely, I havenʼt seen that account for a while so Iʼll have a look right after I post.
@79067dd7 > It was from a normally trustworthy, left-leaning account here An effective shill will throw plenty of legit stuff into their feed to make the propaganda convincing. As Mary Poppins put it, just a spoonf of sugar... ; )
@58db300d @79067dd7 Campbell's going to stay there anyway, especially since he's a shoe-in, despite Pallett being very good. He's been working on this for a while, perfect candidate "never had a want for anything", yet honed in on how cost of living was the biggest issue for all the common people. And I don't think National want another Epson.
