amazon doesn't allow a comment field in the addresses so, i have put an address in for my order for 620nm red (old school) LED strips that run on 5v (so they come in packs of 2x2m long) because this place is all cool white fancy encapsulated shitty uggly glaringly blue (except for one that is kinda yellow) all through my new place but it's confusing as fuck, because this caminho actually loops back to the same road further down so, i just have to watch their order process, and when the damn thing gets a CTT delivery number, maybe i can log into CTT and put a note on it, something like "please call at delivery and wait 2min, or drop off at ponta delgada" like, how long has amazon been doing business with spain and portugal, i'm pretty sure that these little footpath only roads exist all across both countrties, i mean, really? it's pretty amazing how much friction governments create to business, and this is a shining example

yeah, call at delivery... and if no answer drop at ponta delgada... that would be the preferable anyhow, i figure i gotta get adapted to this new scheme... technically i haven't actually changed my region in madeira, but it's about 12m away from where i was. i was talking to the landlady's gopher of my previous place and he also was of the opinion that if i had no intention to stay more than 2 years that there was no point in faffing about with registrations pretty funny national governments and local governments have no idea how to deal with european foreigners the fact is that they actually don't care, and most of the time you can just go from one EU place to another, schengen or not, and for the most part nobody is going to bat an eyelid if you don't go get your tax shit organised they barely even care here in portugal, except if you directly deal with local businesses... the post (CTT) doesn't care... literally only the banks and the telcos care... vodafone was fine giving out a post paid account to me last year based on some shitty piece of paper from financas, and again they ask for this shitty piece of paper even though i have the number and they are not happy with only the number... but most other businesses are fine with just the number, if they ask at all. which most don't taxation is voluntary if you complain about it, it's because you didn't bother to learn that it's voluntary
