The symptoms of disease often linger long after the pathogen is gone. 

 It’s just funny.  A tiny cohort of edgy progressives used that word for about 5 minutes circa 2016. Ever since, that word has been entirely a fixation and obsession of reactionaries.

 That’d be the convenient way to view it. It’s bizarre and concerning to me. It’s probably virtually impossible to narrow down a definitive reason for how pervasive it’s become

When someone says woke to me, my response is "say the fuck what? "
