Why does @primal require my name and email address to create a lightning wallet? https://image.nostr.build/83a96d5ddfd3d82bed1c46497ce7ea5d648df43e07e3fd8eae7c31d777613ccd.jpg
You can name yourself whatever you like and don't tell me you only have one email address 😃
So my name can be Shakespeare Orwellian born November 5th 1984 and my email is nunnyabiddnezz@gmail?
I’m aware you can lie on the internet. I was asking why Primal asks for this information when neither Nostr or Bitcoin protocols use email or name.
My understanding of this is that they want to make easy onboarding for non tech people. Majority of internet users are stuck in this way of signing. Anything different like long private key will scare them and they'll just turn around.
It’s part of the kyc procedure, it is required so that the app can be a wallet
