They declared immigrants trying to cross the border an invasion. I consider myself pretty progressive but generally agree that if the federal government isn't going to protect their border then they should do it themselves. 

 If the federal government is sabotaging the security and integrity of states, then it is in dereliction of its constitutional duties.
