These talking points are really stale.  Saifedean is not a slouch by any means, but he isn't speaking to the people anymore.  

We are at a point where the average person can't afford anything, they can barely afford groceries.  

The whole "have fun staying poor" thing is just totally self absorbed, and no one is actually going to listen to this stale nonsense anymore.
People are dying in the streets and this is the best solution you can come up with?
