As an asset it’s a way to store value long term.

As an investment it’s a bet on the future of Bitcoin. Nostr is a huge use case for bitcoin’s value in the future.

And I use it as a currency on nostr and with other services daily. 

It does all three marvelously ⚡️ 

 It is a tool to separate money and state, to spare us the tyranny of our rulers and empower the sovereign individual to live their own truth 

 Great question with different answers according to different POV.
For me: Sats = Freedom 

 Yes, yes and yes. Sats provide peace of mind. 
Sats allow for your time and energy to be spent whenever and wherever most fulfills you. 
Sats provide a legacy foundation to your heirs or to causes which you support. 
Sats empower you and restrains the state.
Sats give hope ✌️⚡️ 

 A gesture to continue doing what we do. 

 Imagine you're a carpenter and you make beautiful furniture like tables, chairs, closets and so on.
And this allows you to buy food and shelter with the money you get from people who want to buy your wooden creations.
But you also make little chairs (think few cm souvenirs) which take you just a few minutes to make and you usually offer them to people you like or to people that you see that offer also something nice like for example a street musician or art performer.
Those little chairs are zaps. That's it.

 For years, sats were only subtractions of my investment that was Bitcoin.
But since I’ve started using it to zap people, it became for me the base standard of online micro payments. Internet needed that for years! And the use of sats to promote/recognize quality post (or post you like), it making it real! I feel that zaps, Nostr, lightning are really gaining traction 

 Sats are motivation that bear manifold possibilities and social dynamics. 

 Freedom is not free, it requires work. Many discover this with the growth of Bitcoin, Nostr, Sats, custody, relays, unspendable UTXOs, side chains etc. The level of abuse you endure(d) in USD/EUR indicates your ignorance there, you were told to "trust" while you were being debased. In BTC, nobody will hold your hand,  you will have to work to build your own trust, otherwise it will probably end badly (FTX, Blockfi blow blowups, Crypto scams). Your work will determine your results. 4days will become 4years. The days of papa Morgan Stanley, Bank Of America and mama LinkdIn, Twitr, FB, Instagrm taking care of you are gone. But you will enjoy true freedom. 

 Sats = money 

Can also be asset, capital, currency, wealth

It performs 3 key roles: store of value, medium of exchange, & unit of account
