@872ab8e1 it might to a degree work for big semis but no car can take in much more than 100kw  for more than few minutes because of the amount of heat created in the process. And where are they going to get all the juice from to charge multiple semi trucks? Have a small nuclear power plant at each station? 

Sounds like a big pipe dream   cough (pun)?
