Startlink high performance flat panel is a massive improvement. Specially for video call uplinks. wow.
And for cruises.. 👍🏻... Top notch after I restarted my phone.
It would be grand to use on a ship, but there are concerns like tracking and having a constant view of the sky. If you can work those out for a cruise ship I'd love yo hear about it and buy you a beer as thanks.
Wait what?! You took Starlink on a cruise?! I googled this and everything seemed like a no, the cruise ship won't let it happen! 😂
The cruise ships uses starlink now. (At least Royal Caribbean does)
Oh nice! I'm doing a transatlantic in November on MSC. I wonder if it's the same. 🤞
Was wondering what the main differences were.

Gonna fit one to the camper truck once back home.

SIMs have been too much pain this Summer.
It's prob 3x the size, and the power consumption is crazy 150W+, but the performance is wayyyyyy better
I heard that the new panel was supposed to fix all the problems I had with the base model. This is good to hear. I need to experiment with it. We tried setting up Starlink for a failover at a smallish mining facility and it absolutely shit the bed, even for what it said it was capable of.
Still not fiber, it's 20-30ms latency.
 How are the speeds?
 I have gen2 in EU. 150Mb/s to 300Mb/s and ping around 28ms.
 How much upload?
