One can be interested in something without talking about it constantly, especially if the thing in question is something as limited and a specific currency.

It's also rather narrow-minded because many other elements are needed for Internet freedom. A decentralized payment system is neither the only nor the primary component.

Also, if the main use of decentralization is to talk about decentralization itself, if it's such a self-referential end in itself, it's useless and frankly not worth it. Decentralized technologies must be the tools to do what we'd want to do anyways, without having to subjugate ourselves to the whims of oligarchs.

The obsession over Bitcoin is the main reason Nostr won't be successful against mainstream platforms.
One can be not interested in something without complaining about it constantly, especially if the thing in question isn't something limited as just a currency, Bitcoin is much more and embrace so many topics and brenchesbof everyday life, cause again, it's money, it's communication between people, and much more, anyway..

I don't think the topic is, what should a bitcoiner content on Nostr be, but really sounds like it. In the end there's people who don't care about bitcoin complaining about other people talking about it, and seeing every bitcoiner as the same, not noticing any other contents different than that.

And yes it is True that many bitcoiners probably do create more self referential content, but this is also because in everyday life, or generally it is so difficult to have the opportunity to discuss with someone about that theme in a constructive way since years od FUD made by whoever and whatever.

Non bitcoiner spend more time complaining about it than creating content they would like to see, or trying to onboard the people they would like to create content.

In the end, a lot of the contents the other social media platforms are full of, what is? Garbage click baiting, influencers, fake news, etc etc..
I would understand the complains if Bitcoiner would refuse to follow other people, mute them because they would talking about something not Bitcoin related.. never saw that, but I do saw normal people attacking Bitcoiner just for the sake of it, just because.

As for me, I do create a lot of bitcoin content and also try to share a lot of other, since day one, I did meme, radio, music, nature contents, animation, sport, weird thing in general, and most of my bitcoiner feed is the same.

I see more time and energy put into arguments against Bitcoin than time spent creating different contents. Maybe I am blind..

Yoooo Man, it's kinda sad we're still going back and forth about feeds, especially when it comes down to whether you're into Bitcoiner or not. Like, founding fathers said it’s easy to introduce bitcoin via nostr, building open-source is a choice, because using nostr is decision, zapping is a choice, and yoooo … being cool, be kind is a choice too.

About 300,000 users as early adopters, we gotta set the vibe, show how to handle things, it’s a decisions. It's all about self-control.

We should be celebrating the rainbow of content, not squabbling over whose feed is what shade. Diversity's where it's at, and picking our own flavor is definitely part of the deal. Let's keep it chill and embrace the variety.
