It's official: No more free Windows 10 upgrades The party's over. After seven years of looking the other way, Microsoft has finally announced that it's closing the loophole that allowed PCs running Windows 7 and Windows 8.x to upgrade for free. https://www.zdnet.com/article/its-official-no-more-free-windows-10-upgrades/ 2023_10_02_08_24_30_.jpg https://bae.st/media/db9c3518059b242d96c5e2854e6cae2248ca0a0fadc60699c93ef19d939119f4.jpg?name=2023_10_02_08_24_30_.jpg
@Electric Pants :prince_dance: Honestly I'm kind of surprised they still allowed it after launching Windows 11. I guess they've had enough time to update Windows 11 and can call it stable enough now that they want to move everyone to it. They don't want any Windows 10 activations these days so why would they incentivise more?
Imma be real wit u Microsoft I am pirating your shit, if I install it at all
@Electric Pants :prince_dance: what do they mean "loophole"? That was literally the marketing strategy for windows 10
@Electric Pants :prince_dance: This is what broke HWID activation right?
