Who of you is using a ThinkPad with a Linux environment installed on it?.please comment the specs, what distro and the weight of it. Thank you

Ancient Lenovo Thinkpad. X200 series. 8GB RAM. 1TB SSD.

Runs Devuan Linux with fluxbox window manager. Mostly used for Firefox, Tor Browser, Libreoffice and FreeCAD.

FreeCAD gets slow with large files, the others are fine.

I have a newer laptop, but I use the Thinkpad more. Seems to be indestructible :)
I heave a T420. Extended battery, THREE drives, need to replace the track pad, but... It still keeps on poking along. I run pop!_os but am itching to try something else.
 There fit inside 3 batteries?
A normal SSD in place of the original HD, replaced the optical drive with a 1TB HD, and a smaller drive that fits into the modem slot.

One large battery.
 I meant drives! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
 Would it run blender?
 Integrated GPU, sadly
 Librbo0t I'm guessing?
 old t420s

upgraded to 16G ram (yes you can!) and 8tb ssd

love it.. undestroyable 💪
Undistroiable is what I look for... I think about getting a used one, when my Chromebook dies...
if privacy and sevurity is important for you you could also checkout the nitropad... they offer thinkpads with removed intel management engine and coreboot.. and you can pay in #btc 🤗 https://shop.nitrokey.com/shop?search=nitropad
Thank you... That much BTC I don't have. All I have is Sats worth around 70 Euro or so.... But I am working on become a satsonair at one point. At the time it is just a bit expensive. So I wait till it goes back down or I sell my bitcoins at one point and buy new when it is back down, so I double it
yeswe just dca to our stacking goal 🤗 i personally do not try to trade.. we still have time..
T480, 14in FHD, i7-8550U, 32GB RAM, 2TB SSD. Dual batteries. Weight about 1.7kg/3.6Ib. Was using Ubuntu Mate, LibreOffice etc but now use it as a bitcoin node/personal server with Start9/StartOS (although audio and WiFi don’t work). Is a robust secondary machine but batteries are weakening and originals are hard to find now. (Remains plugged in). If I need Windows, I use a cheap external SSD drive to boot to windows (Windows to Go setup) rather than mess with partitions.
Here in Africa they have many of them. Look at jumia Kenya in the online store. I look for something lighter 1,4 kg... Where I also can use Blender....
