Lol. Kitchen manager told me today that she wishes my heart was more into cooking professionaly than IT.

I had to find a way to politely tell her that it's not that I'm not fully dedicated to cooking. I will never stop cooking and exploring new techniques and expanding my repertoire.

It's just that I don't necessarily want to cook professionally for somebody else. If I decided to go balls deep and dedicate the rest of my life to cooking. I would have to either work towards opening my own restaurant or a food cart or something. But slogging away in a restaurant where I have zero say on what goes on is not necessarily my idea of a fulfilling cooking career.

And unfortunately doing web development and IT-related things pays me a lot more currently.
 she sounds boring as f.
I don't need to comment on , "We Live In Time" movie: i saw the first few minutes and walked out (under instruction) and went to see "Conclave" instead. Cross reference Alex D Daemon on Facebook Montreal instead!
Lol. Tell her to gfy, affectionately like on nostr
Alpha vs beta, you have chosen wisely.
 cooking is awesome and
IME anyway
the tactile nature of it is much more fulfilling than computer work.

but self-determination is supreme
and if I can't work on the stuff that interests me, I'll go to where I can.
Why do you stay there then?
