The issue shouldn’t be social algorithms or not, but who has agency over the algorithms. Can we make and choose algorithms in a permissionless way. It’s about users ability to create, evaluate, and choose algorithms.

it will be very interesting to see whether people voluntarily choose algos similar to Twitter's or if they go for more wholesome ones. free algo choice could allow the superego to control the id.
Side note: Honestly think we should rename it, for example instead of algorithms, we call it adventures or experiences

I think, especially for Nostr, it's more user friendly, understandable
Two minutes later, Derek says Nostrudel has algorithm experiences.😂
 I like that
What do you mean by choosing algorithms in a permissionless way?
You don’t need to ask someone in order to provide or choose an algorithm.
Ah okay. Like algorithm plug ins or something like that?
Yeah. So lots of people can provide algorithms and you can choose which one you want to use.
 I like the idea
Agreed. Algorithms can be useful, but algorithms created by others for their use and forced on us are almost always horrible. Being able to choose and move between various algorithms (or design our own when there is not one useful to us) can be very useful.
Algorithms are tools. They are not bad or good in themselves. It is how they are used and who controls them that causes a problem.
