 @edd2f0dd @d7af9dea until providers decide to turn off the internet. Isn’t that essentially what happened to Parler after J6? AWS said nope, and got all the other services to turn them off. Or am I misunderstanding how that works?

On the backend Parler was literally running on Amazon hardware and software. When Amazon evicted them they were offline until they rewrote their software to work on other infrastructure. At the same time Google and Apple banned them from their app stores removing them from mobile. They eventually came back but never recovered and were bought out and shut down.

Self host and use PWAs was the lesson there.
