They are nonsensical to YOU 🫵🏼
Which by the way says much more about you, than the protests.

Protest is disruptive, always has been, always will be. This is NOT the problem.

Freedom of speech and assembly are fundamental rights and should be permissionless for an open society.

Instead of focusing on the form of protest, one should focus on demanding meaningful action. Potentially join. We’re NOT in the streets to annoy people, we are there to show that non violent direct action is possible and necessary to foster meaningful change.

Remember that FridaysForFuture started with civil disobedience in form of school strikes, before loosing their teeth.

Obedience and submission to the permission of a government agency will only foster one thing:
THE STATUS QUO nostr:note1hlrjf5slf73uwnz58mds6dsafr0fzuudf37umk0asdjc4xm4tfashg5jap
What does it say about me?
That is MY freedom of speech ✊🏻
Protests are good if solutions are proposed at the same time.
Freedom of speech and assembly are fundamental rights. Thats right and I support that too.

I criticize the implementation of these protests.
Why don't you protest at the root of the problem?
What changes do you hope to see through this type of protest?

This shows me once again that it is impossible to have a discussion with you people.
Won’t deny your freedom of speech. Just disagree with the conclusions drawn.
There are solutions that are proposed. For this week:
"Stop subsidizing an airport with taxpayer money, that is used 90% by private jets."
Personally I’m mainly attending to point towards the root problem of fiat money, but in order to gain respect and trust, I participate in these protests.
Showing these people an alternative in real life instead of typing "Bitcoin fixes this" under each of their posts seems way more effective to me.
Also the movements protests are very diverse. Targeting fossil infrastructure (root problem)
In the end it’s your choice weather you want to stick with your drawn conclusions, or want to try to understand the other side and therefore question your beliefs.
And I just disagree with the conclusions of the movement.

I think your personal reason is good and makes sense, to show them another way of protesting and to do educational work for Bitcoin.
I do too, at least in parts.

Well then we got a common interest, I guess 🧡
