I feel like it actually does.  Thats why retention is terrible, and almost nobody uses it at all, never mind retain interest.  I log on and all I see is bitcoin zaps stack nodes lighning.  Nobody cares, they want to chat not fill out KYC forms and jump through hoops to tip 0.000001$ to some rich dude.
