I am absolutely fuming. My middle schoolers just got home and told me that two separate teachers:

-Blamed 9/11 on Taliban (no, it was Al Qaeda, annoying, but whatever.)
-Subjected them to listening to traumatizing final phone calls from people who died, as they were dying. WTF, what educational purpose does this trauma serve, especially in Middle School
-And, the last one I'm so furious... One of the teachers informed the students that the reason for 9/11 was because they were Muslim (followed by the useless disclaimer "But not all Muslims are bad" statement that does nothing to squash the Islamophobic flame you just lit).

What. The. Fuck. 

Oh, side note, in honor of 9/11, a teacher is forcing kids to do car washes for Veterans and Police (and sure, first responders, too).
