Ray, it's not only islamophobia, it's also antisemitisme and phobia of whatever the mainstream media portrays as the "bad guys" of the moment. In addition, this urge we all have to cheer for our own ideas (religion in this case) implying their superiority over the others is also detrimental. It immediately creates friction and we don't need that now. There is no one or better religion for everyone, there is only what is better for us individually , and should therefore remain private. Obviously this is in contrast with every religion need to "convert" as much as possible..... The fight today (and for the last decades) is between criminals and terrorists, and the others, of whatever religion they might be are paying the price!
