Its weird, because we blindly trust something that we can't see. A technology that helps to determine our political future. Putting trust in the manufacturer that is absolute, involuntary, and not held accountable to we the people. For we are never able to see what takes place on voting machines. Is their software up to date, are they connected to an insecure network? A mystery network of actions taking place behind closed source proprietary back doors. Never seen, or independently verified to ensure no fuckery is afoot. Paper ballots marked with quantum resistant blockchain values and voter ID requirements. Multiple hand counts from independent volunteers. No fucking hackable voting machines. This is the way. Anything else isn't secure enough for our country.
politics has no future.
How so?
the id requirement would be a good improvement. i have no problem with that. it's just that politics cannot be considered as the future, individually or collectively. democracy is a scam, a democracy where voting is done more properly is also a scam. nostr and bitcoin have existed and will continue to exist against democracy. only you can make decisions about you. that's why we develop these protocols instead of asking democracies for permission.
