Unfortunately, most people have to be told what to think and when. It's by design and the culprit is the television programming. If the people turned the TV off and thought foe themselves they would already be here, no matter what their beliefs and preferences. Everyone likes freedom.
I hear you. But my TV is turned off for decade now, and being a marketing person + licensed hypnotherapist (among many other things) I do know a lot about mind programming. Yet, I've heard about nostr from a new friend from Sweden and then I joined 😀

Try all the clients available as well. Many layouts and user interfaces. For IOS Damus and Primal are a go to. For Android I like Amethyst, Nostrudel, and Primal. But there are many to choose from.
