 Bitcoin network difficulty breaks 3-month downtrend to mark new ATH

The difficulty to create a new block on the Bitcoin blockchain increased by over 10.5% on Aug. 1, adding pressure to the rising operational costs related to Bitcoin  mining.

 Bitcoin network difficulty broke a three-month downtrend and reached a new all-time high (ATH) on August 1, 2024. The network difficulty rose by over 10.5% on that day, indicating an increase in the computational power required to mine Bitcoin. This rise in difficulty comes after a significant decline in network difficulty over the past three months
