Human trafficking, underage sex, possession and illegal drug use, and, oh, say, treason?  

Gun charges feel exactly what you describe: Kabuki theatre. 

I guess I'll have to have faith that God will deal with his depravity...but on this earth, it would be nice if the House Republicans would do ONE FREAKING THING with real heft.
