what he doesn't bring up is his non-white immigrant background. as a disabled person, he's probably looking for a white collar job. those jobs are almost exclusively held by ethnic Norwegians.

it's less risky for an employer to choose someone else. such discrimination is illegal, but that law is impossible to enforce.
