The highlight of the week in Riga for me was the Nostriga event. As we move forward, there is still a ton of work to be done on Nostr. In particular, we need great ideas and adversarial thinking when it comes to ensuring relays remain decentralized while still having economical incentives. Additionally, secure peer to peer and group chat needs to be built and integrated. If you’re a pig developer this place is your mud. Massive thanks to @jack, @Marce, and @Anna for the incredible effort and resourcing putting Nostriga together. So thankful for the do’ers protecting global free and open speech! https://m.primal.net/KRLh.jpg
The best part was catching up with old friends and making new friends, awesome to meet you Preston!
Check out 0xChat for secure group chats based on NOSTR: https://www.0xchat.com https://i.nostr.build/0HEZJMNVxeyHVmuT.png
"#SimpleX is the best for privacy, but I think it has occasional issues with groups. #0xchat runs on #nostr, but the privacy isn't that great yet. If you don't mind the lack of privacy, which #Telegram didn't have anyway, 0xchat is fine. Eventually, NIP-104 for EML will be finalized, and then 0xchat can implement it, and it'll be the obvious choice."
