The problem comes, not just from foreigners being unwilling to buy new debt, but when they decide they no longer want to hold or use dollars. When all of those foreign holdings come home, the USD becomes almost worthless as too many dollars chase the little we still produce.
Yes very much so, and at the point they decide to invest in their infrastructure and no longer pay their dollar denominated debt, the shoe really hits the floor for us and the buck.
