#WordWeavers: Character, worldbuilding- I can break down my books into these elements, but I never think this way when writing. To me, these are all intertwined & can’t be separated. If I was in a different life plot, or a vastly different culture (worldbuilding) I would likely be different. I focus on my characters, asking them constantly about their world, so it’s all filtered, I suppose, through characters, but I learn their character through these conversations. So, it’s chicken or egg.
@b7ab5d68 I agree that, when examining any of my stories, it's a weave, that it's all "intertwined," as you say. Maybe more than that, to the reader it should feel like a weave they want to wear, a comfortable fit where they can't imagine it separated into parts. 😃
