#gd beautiful community! I was just #thinking about where we are at the moment. 70 years ago my grandma was waddling through 15kms of snowy hills and swamps just to get to school. Upon returning home, she cooked for her sisters and took care of the only cow they had. Grocery stores at the time had bread in stock - #onlybread . 30 years ago my mother and older brother were being chased by the mafia because they didn't want to live with an abusive, alcoholic thief in law anymore (a story for another time, mayhaps?) They escaped to Eastern Europe with help from my grandma and numerous good Samaritans. My family learned to mostly fend for themselves throughout life. Can't trust the government, nor anyone outside of a tight tiny circle to have your back. Can't say I haven't absorbed that lack of trust in people myself; despite being a somewhat naïve and idealistic child, raised by cartoons and CRPGS. Yet, here I am today, able to have food on the table, living in a somewhat stable society, writing about my personal life on the internet. Learning to trust more than just close friends. Somehow, the people back then, through all their hardships and challenges, managed to create the world we see today before our eyes. They were in the same position we are now - just as full of hopes, worries, neurosis and uncertainty about the world. Considering all of that, I think that we're doing alright. We don't have to be perfect, just #goodenough https://image.nostr.build/b849a194d095e4e8236aefdf739444ff7b19eb4cdebc0f00c9e07b655bf03e95.jpg
