“Anarchy is an old Greek word, constituting of two parts: “an-”: a prefix meaning without or the absence of and the suffix “archon,” which means rulers, kings, masters. And so anarchy is not, as you said, this Mad Max world of anything goes no rules to whatever you want. Quite on the contrary, I would argue that society that lives in anarchy follows certain principles extremely strongly. And that is that there are no kings, no masters and no slaves. So meaning that there is an equal law for any individual part of the society… as we have two parties or more consensually collaborating together and doing something, anything really, that that is a true state of anarchy. And it's a beautiful thing and we see it in life all the way all around us.” — @Max Hillebrand on @Titcoin

Well written. Very needed. Live the video clip!
Woah, how do you do post production this quickly?!
Riverside is a beast — I’ll drop the full episode tomorrow but wanted to get this clip out into the world asap 🫡
I like the idea of anarchy in theory, however I wonder how it works in practice. For example, how are property laws enforced in an anarchy system? is all through private security. Is there some kind of communal protection system?
Rules don't exist because of rulers, incentives govern how our societies function. It's a deception of the ruling class to convince us that we need them to have rule of law.

If someone convinced you that anarchy is bad, perhaps you should ask who and why they convinced you of that? There's always a motivation.
It is part of the human condition that some people will seek to be in charge. They want to control others. The stronger of them (physically and charismatically) will enlist others to side with them. It can evolve and play out in infinite ways. You can call them chiefs, war lords, governors, or whatever. In any group of humans of any meaningful size, there will ALWAYS be someone in charge. The very best you can do is try to shape it and defang it.
Motion to create Multiple private courts that resolve through ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution)
The Centralized Courts are corrupt and price inflationary, keeping Lawfare as the punishment.
In 2014, the big promise and hope for ethereum was legal contracts. Agreements with bitcoin/ ethereum held in an escrow account until completion of whatever the agreement required, and a built in release for breaking K was something many believed an obvious value and goal.
Is anyone working on anything like that today that you know of?
Idk about anyone doing that at the moment. Its unfortunate that all the other blockchain implementations have been crowded out due to the "Money" conversation.
No doubt, BTC is the Monetary Asset in the Crypto space. For Money, I am BTC all the way.
There are other uses for blockchain, I'm no expert on the specifics of the technology
My main journey into BTC was during 2021 when I was looking into Investment Philosophies. Really started to look into BTC when reading about Hard Money and Austrian Economics.
Was a Classical Liberal until finding out I was actually an AnCap, remember thinking "...but...is the Govt really necessary...?"
I studied Philosophy under Dr. Diane Harvey, focusing on ethics. She was close to a Kantian Deontologist and believed in Capitalism absolutely. I'm so grateful for that background. A favorite book of mine came from The Mises Institute ( Ron Paul's campaign got me there. 😊) "Ethics of Liberty" by Murray Rothbard. I love how one thing + one thing leads to another 🎶🎵 and brings us back around, only not to the same place.
Libertarian Philosophy and their analysis of Actual Economics is awesome. I was strange in that I never thought communism/socialism would work, having a subconscious understanding of Private Property being the foundation of civilization. Was mostly thinking, "How can you spend money that you don't have?"
"Ethics of Liberty" is on my to-read pile, I've got a book hoarding problem.
Was essentially following a framework of Absurdist Christian Deontology (I'm very much informally and casually informative on Philosophy). Funny since I was exploring so much of Stoicism and Virtue Ethics. Now I frame AnCap within the context of Christian Virtue Ethics.
I was an an cap before a born again Christian. I challenged my beliefs with Bible and ended up doubling down. : ).
@SuperKai
This is what I’m fucking talking about.

People use the word anarchy when they mean anomie.
