Data that passes through AWS is not safe, even if encrypted.
Any articles on this? I have been having to program on google apps script and thinking about encrypting each line differently by using the uuid key as the reference for a custom encryption. Yes they have all the data but it would be very difficult to go line by line to decrypt.
Have you checked their server side code? Content of your messages is not important. The real value is metadata.
Sorry but content of your message will always be more useful than metadata. Data vs metadata.
Unfortunately I cannot agree. From operational point of view metadata of regular users are more useful. For valuable targets you can use more sophisticated tools to obtain content of their correspondence. Metadata can expose what are you doing, where, with whom, the whole social graph. You can acknowledge intensity etc.
