yes your brain's chemical state depends on how urgently you need to accomplish something, if anything

so if you have nothing to achieve you will feel bored and go to sleep

if something is very important you will stay up for days unable to sleep

avoiding large, high-carb meals, avoiding social media and entertainment, retaining semen - all this creates a chemical state of mind consistent with urgency, which could possibly be channeled towards some productive work ...

and vice versa binge eating, binge social media browsing and gooning creates a chemical state of mind consistent with complacency, such that nothing can be accomplished ...

social media detox is therefore sometimes called "dopamine fasting" with effect similar to semen retention ... i have experimented with it with some success ...

but i will never experiment with semen retention - i would not risk causing some kind of injury to my balls / prostate from disuse ...
i practice dopamine fasting too. we speak grandiosely about ai gaining sentience and becoming evil, and yet big-tech is actively and transparently creating evil ai algorithms designed to enslave the mind and retain your attention. do you have any competent resources on dangers of semen retention? i’ve been largely avoiding raw surfing the broken internet
i have no evidence but research show when chimps win a power struggle and become the alpha their balls get larger while the chimps who lose the power struggle and become betas have their balls get smaller

it was suggested this is due to status but logically i would assume alphas get more sex so you may be shrinking your balls by never using them ...
i’d venture to make the assumption that there’s more going on there than base chemical reaction in the brain and body induced merely by orgasm alone.
well you know also on steroid cycle balls get smaller and then when you do HCG therapy

they get bigger again ... in fact they get freakishly big

if you stop using an organ as far as i am concerned you should be willing to accept that it may never work again ...
