Can we have guide for how one could self host without github? I think I read somewhere we may need docker (on VPS i guess). Maybe it will motivate me to start publishing again. :) 

 You can host anywhere where your server can serve static files. Basically follow the github hosting guide, but instead upload files from zip archive to your host
