The story goes like this: Until not so long ago, omega6 fatty acids were not a significant part of the human diet. Then people figured out how to produce palatable oil from seeds but that seed oil was disgusting unless highly processed, which still left it high in omega6. Extremely high. Omega6 is claimed to be pro-inflamation. Many see the "highly processed" part as evidence that seed oils are evil. Animal fats are more delicious, low in omega6 and "natural". Despite not knowing a clear cut study showing that indeed people are sick from omega6, I also avoid buying seed oils but I wish I had more to show for when my family asks about "why" than a popular sentiment from some podcasts I happen to watch.
