No sir
Dude we have to go. I didnt care much for hockey before either until i went to a game. Being AT the game is much more fun than watching it on TV.
I heard this same thing about baseball. In person baseball is way better. Maybe I’ll check out a playoff game later. Is hockey in season right now?
From now until April. We can go together let's plan a trip for it. I'm down when you are.
Depending on where it is, I'd tag along. A nostrich hockey trip sounds fun.
Fuck the pro game. Waste of money & time to watch live. Hit a local college game. That is the best experience live IMO.
This. I'd rather go to a WHL game than NHL. I even volunteered for a team, running on ice promotions for a couple seasons, it was incredible fun. Especially the season where they won the WHL trophy.
What’s WHL?
Junior League in Western Canada. Young guys, aged 16-20. There are also similar org. in Ontario and Quebec. Canada loves hockey.
Yup. College or Juniors. Whatever is near you. Much better than pro for $ & entertainment.
This sounds like the same cope that boomers give about college football and college basketball being better than the pros. Why wouldn’t you watch the best of the best?
Whichever pro team is closest to you, go watch a playoff game, at some point. The atmosphere is electric. Jr hockey is super fun to watch, depending on the fan base. Sometimes, depending on the program, they attract a lot of fans. Some other teams barely fill the seats, so the experience, as a fan, can be mediocre.
That's awesome 👍 Which team do you go out to?
I volunteered with the Broncos when I lived in Speedy Creek. These days I go to Tigers games when I can 🏒
Nice! There's a rumour out there that a goalie I work with might be getting traded to the Tigers. With strong goaltending, Med Hat could be legit this season.
