Front facing cameras on phones are done so wrong in newer phones. 

The pop up camera on the 1+ 7 pro is the right way to do it. The camera can be much higher quality, and it only works when you need it.

 Worried of moving parts breaking, though. 

 Mine still works perfectly but I have heard that other have gone bad. I expect mine to break within 5 years. 
If this becomes industry standard I would expect the technology to greatly improve though.  

 Sure. My Fold hinge broke, so I will likely move back to a normal phone.

I'm planning on a Pixel + GrapheneOS. 

 I want to have that combo eventually. RN I have the OnePlus running lineageOS 21, once they stop supporting the 7pro I will most likely move to that.
