Oddbean new post about login | logout 84 lines of code and I can now creep on other users DMs... Nip04 DMs are pretty useful and leak just as much metadata as facebook/twitter DMs. but I don't think people realize just what the metadata looks like. I'm not sure if its a good idea, but I'm pretty sure I could cause lots of drama if I showed the users most recent corespondents on their about page in #noStrudel... Its just showing data thats already there but I wonder how people would react?
Yea the dm graph made me think twice about using dms

I don't mind getting canceled. I just would want to make sure there is a better solution we could move to.
Just show it. If people don't know they won't change behavior. Its the same with the Last Seen feature I have in Nostur, I don't want to have this feature in Nostur, and people want to to be able to turn it off but its inherent to the protocol, it can't be turned off, so I show it so people are not using nostr under false assumptions. Use nostr for public things to private.
