 I used woodchips, why use hay?

 They eat hay and its needed for their teeth and stomach, I actually use fleece blankets for their bedding.

 Huh, I didn't know they needed hay. 

I think I fed mine carrots mixed with lettuce and dandelions.

 Yep hay is very much needed in their diet though some pellets do have it they should really have it laying around at all times.

 Oh, I might have feed it pellets too. I can't really remember, it's been a long time.
