I just ordered a pizza. 7000 pesos! 🇦🇷😳 Almost 80% more in 100 days 😢 Maybe the last ordered pizza 😫 #plebchain #nostrplebs #grownostr #nostriches #nostr #zbdsocial #plebstr #nostrich #arg #inflacion #bitcoin #btc #Argentina #inflation nostr:note17fwankjn99ch376elqgxxclywue4af2k8yxawqd5yxnkw2edn48qg3c2ew
What is the sentiment with the new pres? Is this inflation ‘transient’ as new currency devaluations cause short term pain, but long term prosperity? That pizza looks good btw.
Insane!
And the problem is not just with the pizza, but with everything I have to pay 😢
I can only imagine! How difficult is it to quickly convert Bitcoin to pesos? Or USD to pesos? And vice versa? Just wondering if that's a feasible way to at least protect some savings until you're ready to spend it on something. It must be very hard having the purchasing power of your money erode so quickly. I imagine few regular people bother trying to save any money at all anymore. Just spend it as fast as they can on tangible goods.
I think it’s easy to convert it but the problem is the spread, and It’s as you say, people can’t save any money so they try to buy long term goods as a way to lose less.
Must be hard. 🤯 If only more businesses could accept payment directly in sats. Not just in Argentina, but everywhere. I want to get involved somehow in helping business set up Bitcoin lightning payments but I don't know where to start. I would love to travel the world helping grow the Bitcoin economy.
That’s awesome! In Argentina there is an NGO https://bitcoinargentina.org trying to promote #bitcoin with events, consulting and learning courses/speeches.
Nice! That's something I'll look into when I go to Argentina. Probably in about 12 months time. I'd like to visit this time of year. I hate being up north during winter. Seems like a good time to visit the southern hemisphere.
It was 90 °F today and we are just starting summer 🥵 I prefer spring weather like September/October but it depends what will you visit or what do you like 😊
80-90 F weather is when I'm happiest. Honestly even 100-105 is quite tolerable as long as it's not humid. High humidity makes even 90 F feel intolerable.
Just wait 🙄
