Okay, I get that. There is a third option though...the reposter. Zero of their own content or replies but constantly reposting other people's thoughts and ideas. That feels like they have none of their own personality.
Unless what they’re noting is of particular interest to me, I eventually unfollow those npubs once I notice the pattern.

My other pet peeve (and there is overlap with the group you’re describing) are the people who simply cross post everything they post on X over to Nostr but aren’t really that active or plugged in on Nostr. It comes off as disingenuous and attention seeking.
