Just paid nearly $100 for dinner at Applebee’s for 2 adults and 2 kids. 🤡🌎

But it was transitory. We had an economy with one level of prices, and we transitioned into an economy with a much higher level of prices.
Spittin' hot flamin' facts my Guy.
 😭😭😭
You purposely chose to eat at Applebees. You get what you deserve.
Lol way to miss the point 😂
 I said what I said ;)
Sorry, @GHOST is right here. At least hit the Chili’s man.
This is why I cook at home.

Inflation has made me a better chef.
Same. We rarely eat out any more.
All good man, I ate Mellow Mushroom yesterday 🍕
For context, as apparently it needs to be spelled out for some, this same meal would have cost us probably $70-ish before everything got more expensive the last couple years. I was well aware how much I’d be paying for what we ordered, but that’s not the point. The point is that this kind of thing represents the larger problem of how expensive everything is nowadays. Has your pay increased by 40-50% in the past couple years? If not, then you’re feeling what I’m pointing out here.
 Fuck Applebees. microwaved garbage.
It's brutal. We occasionally go to Longhorn Steakhouse using a Fold gift card and it's around $140 for 2 adults and 3 teens (with no alcohol).
 I know that feeling 😢
 😅 at Applebee’s 😢
Inflation has never been transitory since the invention of FIAT... Ppl who think prices will ever go down again don't really understand basic economics.
What we pay for groceries now is roughly the same price we paid for groceries and going to the restaurant twice a week 13 years ago 🥲 🤡🌎
When they printed money, they changed the measuring stick.
1$ does not equal 1$
