More people buying and holding is literally the *only* way we eventually separate money from state.  The USA's largest populist movement being pro-bitcoin is a good thing, that will absolutely also bring challenges. 

There isnt a plot being lost here... This is game theory playing out (ahead of schedule IMHO)
